How do you keep the perishable items from spoiling?

We ship all of our perishable products in special insulated chiller packages which keep your items nice and cool. Also, once your order is processed from our warehouse – we usually ship expedited service to your recipient’s door.

Do you ship oversees?

Yes – but not everywhere (North Korea, Cuba and Iran).  Sometimes there is a bit of paperwork involved in getting through the other country’s Customs but we will handle it for you.  Email us at syracusecrate@gmail.com to let us know where you would like to ship.  Please note that due to transit times and some International governmental policies, we cannot ship perishables like meats, cheeses or salt potatoes oversees.

Do you ship to military bases oversees?

Yes, we proudly ship to all APO & FPO overseas addresses via the United States Postal Service. We take great pride in delivering to our troops around the world and feel honored every time a Syracuse Crate is chosen. And like the above, due to transit times and some International policies, we cannot ship perishables like meats, cheeses or salt potatoes oversees.

I would like to add a note to the recipient. How do I do that?

In the checkout screen, there is a notes section under the Shipping Address.  Just let us know what you would like your note to say and we’ll be sure to send it along.

How can I enter a delayed delivery date?

When in the checkout section of our website, their is a field labeled ORDER NOTES.  Just mention here when you would like us to ship and we will try to do so.  Given the kind of weather we get up here we may need to ship earlier or later to prevent your order from being stuck somewhere.  NOTE: During the Holidays we receive a large number of requests to deliver a day or two before Christmas.  We STRONGLY advise against this as all parcel carriers experience a very high volume of shipments and many arrive late.  We don’t want yours to deliver late.

Does my order come with the Orange Syracuse Crate milk Crate?

ALL prebuilt crates include the milk crate free of charge.  This includes the Super Crate, Classic Crate, Northside Crate, Courtside Crate and Bit O’Cuse Crate.

Any Build-A-Crates with a subtotal greater than $99 (before shipping) will include a crate as well.  So if your order subtotal before tax and shipping comes to $105 dollars and after using a coupon code it comes down to $92, your order still qualifies for a crate.

Should your order not meet this criteria, you can always purchase one too.

I am ordering a crate ahead of time for the Holidays. Can you hold my order and ship closer to the holidays??

Sort of.  Per company policy we MUST ship all orders within 10 days of receiving your payment.  As long as your delivery date that you would like falls within this window, we assist.  In the checkout screen, there is a notes section under the Shipping Address.  Just mention that you want us to ship for the Holidays and consider it done.  During the Holidays we receive a large number of requests to deliver a day or two before Christmas.  We STRONGLY advise against this as all parcel carriers experience a very high volume of shipments and many arrive late.  We will ship all such orders on or around the 2nd Monday of December.

What shipping options do I have? Can you explain the difference between Standard, Fast Break and Expedited?

Our standard shipping method will get your package delivered within 7 business days or less from the day we receive your order. We currently use UPS for delivery. (We cannot ship to PO Boxes so please be sure to give us a physical address.)  You don’t have to be home to receive your package as UPS is asked to leave your package at your front door. Need it sooner? We also offer Fast Break Shipping (3-4 Business Days) and Expedited Shipping (1-2 Days) Pricing for these options will be shown before purchasing your order. As long as we receive your order by 1PM eastern your order will ship that day.

  • Order by Monday 1pm ET – Delivery by Friday
  • Order by Tuesday 1pm ET – Delivery by the following Monday
  • Order by Wednesday 1pm ET – Delivery by the following Tuesday
  • Order by Thursday 1pm ET – Delivery by the following Wednesday
  • Order by Friday 1pm ET – Delivery by the following Thursday
  • Order during Weekend – Delivery by Friday

EXPEDITED SHIPPING TIMELINE

  • Order by Monday 1pm ET – Delivery by Wednesday
  • Order by Tuesday 1pm ET – Delivery by Thursday
  • Order by Wednesday 1pm ET – Delivery by Friday
  • Order by Thursday 1pm ET – Delivery by Monday
  • Order by Friday 1pm ET – Delivery by Tuesday
  • Order during Weekend – Delivery by Wednesday

*Please note that any US Holiday will delay your shipment by one day.  In the event of inclement weather while your order is en route, Syracuse Crate cannot be held responsible if our carrier has a service interruption due to weather issues. which causes a delay.  Please note that we do monitor the weather heavily and will do our best beforehand to ensure your order arrives on time.

Can we make a substitution on any of the crates?

Sometimes.  For example, if you would like to swap out a sauce with a different sauce – or a perishable item (Gianelli or Hofmann) for another item – no problem.  We just cannot swap out a bottle of sauce for a perishable item as the packaging, shipping and costs vary greatly.  Just let us know in the notes section at checkout what you would like us to do and we will try our best to make it happen.

I don't feel comfortable giving my credit card information over the Internet. How can I place an order?

The syracusecrate.com website uses the latest in security technology to insure your sensitive information is protected. However, you may also place an order by calling our offices at (315)487-5478 (Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM ET).

I just placed my order online. When will my order ship?

We try to ship every order as soon as possible.  Our warehouse space isn’t that big so once we receive payment, we move your order out our doors within 2 business days (usually faster).  In the event of any delay in shipping due to weather, backordered items, power failure or reasons beyond our control, we will notify you as soon as possible.  PLEASE NOTE: Per company policy we CANNOT delay shipping of your order beyond 10 days.

I just placed my order online. How will I know the order was received?

You will receive an email confirmation as well as a ship notification for each order placed online. The email confirmation should arrive within 24 hours. This confirms receipt of your order and provides you with your order confirmation number. The ship notification is sent to you the moment your product is shipped and will provide you with your package tracking number.

I would like to pick up my crate from your facility and deliver myself. Is this possible?

You sure can.  We just need to know when you plan on picking up so that we can have it ready for you.  Our warehouse is located at: Pioneer Warehousing & Distribution, LLC 7640 Edgecomb Drive Liverpool, NY 13088.  (Open Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm) When checking out, please use the notes area to let us know what day you need it ready or if you have any other requests.  For example, some of our customers like us to not package every item and leave the box open so that they can add a card or other items to the crate.  When arriving at the warehouse, use your order # for pick up.

I have a charity and am looking for a donation from Syracuse Crate - who can I speak to?

Please email requests to: syracusecrate@gmail.com.  Due to the high number of requests we receive, we cannot donate to each one.  However, we do look over each request in great detail when considering causes.  The more info you can share with us about the event, the cause and any other details, can help us decide.  We donated close to 50 crates last year, helping many people in the local community.  We take great pride in this.

Will sales tax be added to my order?

Syracuse Crate is required to collect sales tax for certain products delivering in New York State. By law, Syracuse Crate collects all local and state sales tax when applicable.

Can you handle large bulk orders?

Yes we can.  Need 100 hotdogs for a party?  Maybe a pallet of Salt Potatoes?  Cases of beans?  We can handle any size order you’d like at very affordable rates.  Simply email us at syracusecrate@gmail.com and we will work up a special quote.  Just let us know what you would like, how much and to what zip code.

Do you offer corporate discounts?

Yes we do.  If you plan on shipping at least ten crates in a calendar year, we do offer special pricing.   Email Thomas Connors at thomas@syracusecrate.com and he can initiate special corporate pricing for your organization.

I have a product that I would like Syracuse Crate to add. How can I get my product listed?
